Seminar
Join us for a 4-hour, hands-on performance testing seminar for functional fitness, CrossFit, and HYROX athletes who want to understand their training on a deeper level, not just by the final score, but by what is actually happening physiologically.
Most of us train by feel. That can work, but it can also mean spending a lot of time at the wrong intensity.
VO₂ max testing can be useful for single modalities, such as running or cycling, but it does not tell the full story of functional fitness. In fact, studies have found that elite CrossFit athletes have pretty average VO₂ max values. This is not because they are not fit — it is because the test does not really represent the demands of high-intensity functional movements. Therefore, in collaboration with WOD-Science, we created a test that is specific to functional fitness.
This test is used by the elite in our sport to obtain accurate training zones and physiological profiles. In this seminar, we will not only test you, but also help you understand your own physiology and turn your test results into practical training guidance you can use immediately in your functional fitness workouts.
During the seminar you will complete sport-specific performance testing and receive a personalized performance profile, including:
You can choose between a CrossFit version or a HYROX version depending on your main training goal. Both versions provide personalized zones, pacing guidance, and workout recommendations, but the testing is adapted to the specific demands of each sport. If you train both, choose the version that best matches your current goal.
Each seminar offers two testing methods. WODMotions testing + Seminar + Lactate uses lactate sampling to identify your individual LT1 and LT2 thresholds with maximum precision. WODMotions testing + Seminar is a practical, non-invasive alternative that uses heart-rate response, movement data, power output, and validated biomechanical models to estimate your zones. Both options produce personalized zones, pacing guidance, and workout recommendations — choose the one that best fits how you want to train.
This seminar is useful if you want to:
You do not need to be an elite athlete to take part. This is for anyone who trains consistently and wants to understand how to improve.
Participants split into two heats:
After completion, groups switch roles.
